In April, the National Association of Home Builders<\/em>\u00a0(NAHB) posted an article,\u00a0Home Buyers\u2019 Preferences Shift Towards New Construction<\/a><\/em>, which reported:<\/p>\n \u201c60% of people who were looking to buy a home in 2020 said they’d\u00a0prefer new construction to an existing home.<\/strong>\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The latest\u00a0Consumer Confidence Survey<\/a><\/em>\u00a0reveals the percentage of Americans planning to buy a home in the next six months is virtually the same as it was back in March. The organization explains that existing homes are now the top preference among today\u2019s buyers.
