An inspection reimbursement grant designed to bring first-time homebuyers to Vallejo seems to be successful. A total of $50,000 was granted by the California Association of Realtors’ Housing Affordability Fund, and each first-time homebuyer is eligible to apply for up to $1,500 in inspection reimbursement fees.

Just today, my clients who are first-time homebuyers, closed on their beautiful single-story ranch home in Minahan Meadow.   As potential recipients of the inspection reimbursement grant, they are grateful that part of the costs of buying a new home are offset, as they are sure they will have numerous expenses as they make their home their own.

The Vallejo housing market is hopping right now. In July, Realtor.com named Vallejo the “hottest housing market in America,” and it’s shown no signs of slowing down. It’s a great place for young professionals to settle down within commuting distance of San Francisco and Oakland.
